Holy Trinity Church

Market Street, Cambridge, CB2 3NZ

What3words: ///above.moment.river

Holy Trinity is the church community that Isabel has been part of for the last 10 years and we’re delighted to be getting married there!

By Car

HT is in the city centre of Cambridge and is in a restricted traffic area. There is no parking at the church itself: the nearest car park is The Grand Arcade but it can get full on a Saturday. We recommend considering the Madingley Road Park & Ride: the car park is near the M11, and the bus comes every 10 minutes, taking 15 minutes to reach St Andrew's Street which is a 5 minute walk to HT. This Park & Ride car park is also a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive to Rectory Farm.

By Taxi

Cambridge has lots of taxis. These are all good options:

By Train

For those coming by train, Cambridge (rather than Cambridge North) is the best station to use. There is a taxi rank outside the station or the Citi 1, 3 or 7 buses will take you into the town centre near HT.

There are toilets (including disabled and baby change) in the church building.

Rectory Farm

Madingley Road, Cambridge, CB23 7PG

Our reception drinks, dinner and evening party will be at Rectory Farm, which is 2 miles outside the city centre, off Madingley Road.

Ceilidh

Robert and Isabel both studied in Scotland and love a ceilidh! If you haven’t ceilidh’ed before, you’re in for a treat. It’s very easy: the caller tells everyone the moves, and then you do these moves (Robert version) or something faintly resembling them (Isabel version). Something like this:

FAQs

What's the dress code?

There’s no specific dress code, wear whatever you feel fabulous in! Most people will probably be in formal/semi-formal - think suits and dresses.

Do you have a gift list?

Some people have asked if we have a gift list - you are very kind to ask! We are very lucky to already be well equipped for setting up our home together. We're also really grateful for the time and effort spent coming to join our wedding celebration - your presence is the best present we could want. But if you would like to gift something more, we have collected some ideas on a John Lewis gift list. Or if you'd prefer to contribute to our honeymoon treats fund or to our newlywed piggybank, you can do so here (please put your name in the notes so we know who to thank, as the name doesn't come through automatically).

Where's good to stay?

Rectory Farm will put you right where the action is! Alternatively in the city centre there is the University Arms, the Ibis by the station, or the Holiday Inn a bit further out of town.

What's fun to do in Cambridge?

Cambridge has lots of fun places if you’re making a weekend of it! You might like to go punting with Scudamore's, or go on a walk along The Backs, visit a college (some charge, some are free), have a pastry or ice cream at Aromi, walk down the river to The Orchard tea rooms in Grantchester, climb the St Mary’s tower... there are lots of good options!

I'm not sure which bits of the day I'm invited to!

Everyone is invited to the ceremony at 1:30pm and to stay for tea, coffee and cake afterwards. Everyone is also welcome to the evening party from 7:30pm. We are sorry not to have space to invite everyone to the dinner, your invitation should say who is invited to this part. If you’re not sure just ask us! wedding@robertandisabel.com

Is my partner / child invited?

If your partner and children are invited to the meal, your invitation will say so. But you're more than welcome to bring them to the ceremony and the evening party.
